A Wallaceburg man faces obstruction charges after an incident early this morning.
Police officials say shortly after 1 a.m. this morning, police responded to the area of Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg in regards to a suspicious man.
Officers located the man matching the description on Johnson Street.
The man verbally identified himself to police, however the officers recognized the man and knew the name he used was incorrect.
Through investigation, police identified the man and learned that he was currently wanted on outstanding warrants for being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $,5000 and failing to attend court.
The 19-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested on the outstanding warrants and additionally charged with obstruct police and failing to comply with his release conditions by not signing in weekly at police headquarters.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
