Students, staff and families from across St. Clair Catholic gathered at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg on Thursday to mark the start of a new school year.
The annual Welcome Back Mass brought school communities together in faith. It was celebrated by board chaplain Father Chris Pietraszko, who reflected on the board’s theme of Anchored in Hope and encouraged students and staff to remain grounded in faith.
During the celebration, copies of “The Catholic All Year Prayer Companion: The Liturgical Year in Practice,” by Kendra Tierney, were blessed and will be presented to new employees. Each school also received a calendar for the liturgical year.
Following the Mass, students, staff and families gathered in the church, marking the start of the 2026-27 school year.
