‘Is winter over?’, poll question, weather, world news

Splash Pools Morning Coffee – By Aaron Hall

SPLASH-FEB-2017

It was a record breaking weekend for temperature, as spring-like weather swept across the region.

The thermometer in Chatham reached 15.7C (60.2F) on Sunday, narrowly beating the previous record of 15.6C (60F) set in 1943.

It was warmer on Saturday, with the record breaking temperature reaching 16.7°C (62.06°F).

Much of the same is expected throughout the week, with a high of 19°C (66.2°F) expected on Wednesday.

Forecasters are saying it will cool off by the weekend, dropping down to 2°C (35.6°F) on Saturday.

What do you think… is winter pretty much over?

If March comes in like a lamb, will it go out like a lion?

Will we get dumped on with another batch of snow?
