The Walpole Island Ferry will be shut-down today, Tuesday, March 7, for maintenance purposes. The ferry was closed down on Monday as well.
Walpole Island officials say operations will resume on Wednesday, March 8.
The first boat is scheduled to leave Canada at 6:50 a.m., and the last boat leaves Algonac, Michigan each day at 10 p.m.
