A Tilbury woman faces impaired driving charges after an incident on Friday.

Police officials say yesterday at approximately 8:45 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police located a woman passed out in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle on Queen Street North in Tilbury.

Police determined that the woman was intoxicated and her ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

She was arrested for care and control of a vehicle while impaired and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests.

The tests revealed that the woman had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her blood.

The 43-year-old Tilbury resident was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date of March 31, 2017.
