A truck drove into a drainage ditch late Friday night near Erieau. sending the driver to hospital.
Police officials say on Friday, March 17, at approximately 11 p.m., a 21-year-old Erieau man was driving a pickup truck eastbound along Erie Shore Drive near Erieau.
The driver failed to negotiate a bend in the road near Bisnett Line and the truck drove into a deep drainage ditch causing significant damage.
Two passengers who were in the vehicle were able to call for help and get out of the truck suffering non-life threatening injuries.
EMS arrived on scene and extricated the driver.
He was transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with serious injuries and later transferred to the Windsor Regional Hospital.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Unit was called out and is investigating this collision.
