Alfred “Al” Bechard of Wallaceburg

1943293_profile_picMr. Alfred “Al” Bernard Bechard, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 84.

Al was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Gilbert and Ella Mae (Labadie) Bechard.

Beloved husband of Mary Sue (Aarssen) Bechard.

Loving father of Wayne (Kim), Sharron (Jack), Janice (Wayne), Christine (Brad) and Danielle.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Tammy, Jack, Shea Lynn, Liz, Mitch, Jonathon, Maggie, Nicki and his great grandchildren Josh and Desiree.

Kind brother and brother-in-law of Melvin (Lorraine), Millie, Rose and Gerry.

Also sadly missed by many In Laws of the Aarssen Family and his best friend Terry Pearson.

Predeceased by his sisters and brothers Bernice, Doug, George and Patricia.

Friends and family will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday afternoon and Knights of Columbus prayers at 6:45 p.m. Thursday evening. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 31st, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Wallaceburg, with Fr. Chris Gillespie, Celebrant.

Cremation will follow.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice or Canadian Food for Children may be left at the funeral home.
