A Wallaceburg woman faces assault charges after an incident earlier this week.
Chatham-Kent Police Sertvice officials allege that on Tuesday, May 2 at around 11:30 p.m. a woman attended an address in Wallaceburg where her ex-boyfriend was known to be.
When the ex-boyfriend opened the door, the woman charged at him and began assaulting him.
She then ran away from the residence and eventually left the area in a car that was waiting for her on the street.
Police were then called.
Through investigation, it was learned that the woman had assaulted the ex-boyfriend on two other occasions.
He had not reported the previous assault incidents to the police, nor has he reported sustaining any injuries as a result of being struck.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of the woman due to her whereabouts being unknown at the time.
Yesterday at 2 p.m. the 20-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with three counts of assault.
She was released with a court date of Friday, May 26, 2017.
