Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association elects board for upcoming season

The Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association has elected its board of directors for the upcoming hockey season following its annual general meeting.

Association officials thanked members who attended the meeting, saying community participation and engagement are key to the success of the organization. They also expressed appreciation to outgoing board members for their service and contributions to the association and its players.

Jodie O’Neil will serve as president for the upcoming term. Ron Barnes was elected OMHA vice-president, while Katrina Murphy will serve as OWHA vice-president. Samantha Childs will take on the role of secretary and Chris Van Mensel will serve as treasurer.

Other positions include Cezar Soares as registrar, Mason Kraayenbrink as ice convenor, Brad Woods as Shamrock representative, Scott Currah as Four Counties convenor, Lucais Meyskens as OMHA representative, Zhahwun Shogosh as heritage director, Sean Hogan as U7 convenor, Shane Pollock as referee representative, Ashley Anderson as director of tournaments, BJ Charpentier as director of skills and development, Justin Allaer as goalie development director, Amanda White as director of communications and social media, Megan Vandevelde as director of marketing, Kerrie Vandevelde as director of photography and banquet, Luke Lauzon as equipment manager, Courtney Dionne as hockey parent representative and Kyle White as past president. The position of OWHA representative remains vacant.

The association said it is looking forward to the season ahead and thanked volunteers and supporters for their continued commitment to the Lakers program.
