(OPP)

A little over an hour after a transport went up in flames on the 401, another transport crashed in Chatham-Kent.

OPP officials say on July 13 around 7 p.m. Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single tractor trailer on Highway 401 near County Road 42.

Police say investigation revealed an eastbound tractor trailer had allegedly lost control, jack knifed and struck the guardrail.

The driver was not injured in the collision.

Emergency crews attended and Highway 401 eastbound is temporarily closed for the safe removal of the vehicle.

Sections of the 401 had been closed up until this morning as crews investigated and cleaned up from both crashes.
