Charges laid after transport crash on the 402

A trucker has been charged following, yet another, crash between multiple tractor trailers on the 402 in Sarnia.

Lambton OPP officials say on July 25 at 8:40 a.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the 402 Highway west bound west of Christina Street, City of Sarnia, to investigate a commercial motor vehicle collision.

Investigation revealed that a west bound transport truck had collided into a row of stopped transport trucks that had been waiting to cross the Bluewater Bridge in an attempt to enter the United States.

In total, three transport trucks were involved in the collision.

Police allege the transport truck that initiated the collision attempted to avoid, resulting in the trailer and its contents to flip onto its side.

The involved transport truck drivers suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital.

A 27-year-old St. Leonard, Quebec man has been charged with alleged careless driving.
