Two people suffered life threatening injuries after another crash involving five vehicles on the 401 in Chatham-Kent.
OPP officials say on Sunday, July 30 at around 5:40 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Chatham-Kent Fire Service, and Chatham-Kent Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a five vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Dillon Road.
Police officials say a westbound tractor trailer allegedly collided with a westbound pick-up truck causing a five vehicle chain reaction collision.
As a result of the collision, two people were transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.
OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) were on the scene investigating the collision.
Highway 401 between Bloomfield Road and Queens Line was set to be closed for approximately seven hours, but has reopened.
