Break-in & theft at Wallaceburg Waste Water Plant

Police are investigating after a break-in and theft at the Waste Water Plant in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say sometime throughout the night of Wednesday, August 23 and into the early hours of Thursday, August 24 unknown suspects entered the Public Utilities Commission Waste Water Plant located at 795 Gillard Street.

Police say a window of one of the PUC trucks was broken by the suspects and a DeWalt tool bag containing miscellaneous power tools was removed.

The estimated value of the tools is $1,700.
