Police looking to ID shoplifter

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are looking for the public’s help to identify an alleged shoplifter in Chatham.

Police officials say on Thursday September 7, at 1 p.m. an unknown man was observed inside the Real Canadian Superstore located at 791 St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police say he allegedly selected and placed a variety of items into his cart and then exited the store making no attempt to pay.

When the man was approached outside by store security, he left the full cart behind and departed the area in a blue Dodge Caravan.

The value of the items within the cart was estimated at $660.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the unknown male suspect.
