A traffic stop outside of Dresden has led to charges.
A around 12:30 a.m. on December 21 an officer was on general patrol in Dresden and they initiated a traffic stop on Uncle Tom’s Road, near Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
Police officials allege that through investigation, a 35-year-old Walpole Island woman was arrested and charged with the following provincial offences:
– Driver motor vehicle – no license
– Owner operate motor vehicle on a highway – no insurance
– Use plate not authorized for vehicle
– Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner
The license plates were seized and the vehicle was towed from the location.
The woman was released with a future court date of January 24, 2018.
