Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Wallaceburg

Police say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Wallaceburg on Thursday.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at 4:30 p.m. on McNaughton Avenue at Reaume Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Police allege that the driver, a 69-year-old Tupperville man, struck a 64-year-old woman.

Only minor injuries were reported by the woman and no damage was reported to the vehicle, police say.

It is unknown at this time if charges will be laid, police officials say.
