Assault, dangerous driving charges in Wallaceburg

A 911 hang-up in Wallaceburg has led to assault and dangerous driving charges.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on January 30, 2018 an officer attended a residence in Wallaceburg in regards to a hang up 911 call.

Police say through investigation, the officer learned about an incident that occurred on Wallace Street.

The man and woman agreed to give a female, known to them, a ride to another location, police allege.

The woman, who was in the passenger seat, reached backwards and assaulted the female, police allege.

The man exited the vehicle at which time the woman got in the driver’s seat and drove forward as the female fell to the ground, police allege.
