A Highgate man was charged following a crash on the 401 on Thursday
OPP officials say on March 1, around 7:30 p.m. the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Victoria Road.
OPP officials allege that investigation revealed an eastbound Commercial Motor Vehicle had lost control; jackknifed and came to rest blocking both eastbound lanes.
There were no injuries reported.
As a result, the male driver, a 51-year-old from Highgate, was charged with careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
