The Rotary Club of Chatham is encouraging citizens to show their support for businesses in Chatham and Thamesville affected by the recent flood disaster. The Rotary Club of Chatham’s “Flood Our Community with Love” initiative will take place Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th in downtown Chatham and downtown Thamesville.
A fundraiser is set to take place on Saturday, at the Moose Lodge in Wallaceburg, with proceeds going towards the family of Tucker Marcolin. The 3-year-old Wallaceburg boy was injured after being attacked by two dogs in Jaycee Park in Wallaceburg back on February 5. The event will run from approximately 4 p.m. until close.
Drop in all March Break at the Wallaceburg Museum for Movies and crafts. There is free admission all week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Annual Dresden Rotary Banquet & Auction is being held on Friday, March 23
12am. Tickets are available from any Dresden Rotarian. Contact Lynda Weese by phone at 519-436-1754 or visit McKellar Flowers in Downtown Dresden for tickets.The guest speaker this year is John Weese. Cost is $40/person.
Dresden Minor Hockey & the Kinsmen Club are teaming up for this years annual Good Friday fish fry at the Dresden Arena. Cost for adults is $25, Kids 12 & under are $10. Tickets are available from members, or at Ellis Motors and McKellar’s Flowers.
And finally…the Dresden Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt is taking place on Good Friday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at Kinsmen Park in Dresden. The Wallaceburg Easter Egg Hunt, organized by the Knight of Pythias is taking place the following day on March 31 at 11 a.m. at Kinsmen Park in Wallaceburg.
