Gas bar owner assaulted, police seeking suspect

Sarnia Police Service officials say on Friday March 23, 2018, at approximately 6:50 pm, the Sarnia Police Service responded to an assault that took place at the Esso gas bar located at 160 Vidal Street North.

Police allege information received was that the owner, a 60 year old man, had observed a male party hop the fence from a neighbouring business onto the property of the gas bar.

At this point the owner asked the man what he was doing.

The suspect then approached the owner and told him to mind his own business and proceeded to punch the owner in the face, once.

The owner did not sustain any sort of serious injury.

He was able to take a picture of the suspect but unfortunately it was not of the best quality.

The male suspect was described as being approximately 6 feet tall, between 35 to 45 years of age, medium build, wearing a black jacket with grey reflective stripes, an off white hoodie underneath the coat, dark jeans, and dark Nike runners.
