Two B&E and thefts in Dawn-Euphemia

The Lambton OPP are investigating two separate incidents, which resulted in several items being stolen in Dawn-Euphemia.

In the most recent incident, OPP officials say on April 9 at 9:45 a.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a rural address located on Mawlam Road in Dawn-Euphemia Township to investigate a break and enter.

Investigation revealed that between the 7th and 9th of April an unknown suspect attended the rural property and forcibly gained entry to an outbuilding.

Reportedly, the thieves stole:

– 1 Large red portable tool box containing wrenches, hammers and screwdrivers

– 2 Briggs and Stratton gas powered water pumps

– 11 plate attachments used to plant seed

– 24″ and 18″ pipe wrenches

– 4 foot mechanical jack

The estimated value of the property is $7,200.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

“The OPP are urging rural residents to immediately call the OPP if they identify suspicious vehicles and or persons,” OPP officials say.

In the second incident, OPP officials say on April 6 at 2:30 p.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a rural address located on Mawlam Road in Dawn-Euphemia Township to investigate a break and enter.

Investigation revealed that between the 4th and 6th of April an unknown suspect attended the rural property and forcibly gained entry to the residence and an outbuilding.

Reportedly, the thieves stole:

– 1996 Suzuki ATV, blue

– 1995 Suzuki ATV, orange

– 2008 utility trailer, single axle, black

– John Deer riding lawnmower

– Air compressor, several power tools, saws and wrenches

– GPS unit

– 2 cases of Coors Light beer

– Cooey shotgun- single shot

The investigation is ongoing.

The exact dollar value of the theft is unknown at this time.

The OPP are seeking community assistance with both of these investigations.
