The Chatham-Kent Police Association hosted its annual Rob Herder Memorial Charity Golf Tournament on Aug. 11 at Willow Ridge Golf and Country Club, with proceeds going to the Chatham-Kent Ontario Student Nutrition Program.
A total of 120 golfers took part, making it one of the association’s most successful events to date.
The association thanked the Ridge Landfill Community Trust, Johnson Controls, the Chatham-Kent Police Service Board, Clarke’s Construction, Blenheim Canadian Tire, Waltron Trailers and other businesses and organizations for their support.
The CKPA also recognized the tournament’s hole sponsors, saying their contributions played a vital role in the event’s success and helped create what the association called a first-class experience for participants.
The CKPA extended thanks to the golfers, volunteers, prize donors and supporters who took part.
Organizers said the tournament honoured Rob Herder’s legacy while supporting students in the community, and the association said it looks forward to continuing the tradition of community spirit, camaraderie and charitable giving in the years ahead.
