Seth Griffith wraps up season, Amerks eliminated

The 2017/2018 season is in the books for Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith.

Griffith’s team, the Rochester Americans, were swept in their opening round American Hockey League (AHL) playoff series against the Syracuse Crunch.

The Crunch doubled up the Amerks in Game #3 of their series on Wednesday night, by a score of 6-3.

Griffith had 1 assist for Rochester, along with a -1 rating and 5 shots on goal.

The 25-year-old forward finished the series with 4 assists and no goals in three games, all losses.

During the regular season, Griffith skated in 46 games for Rochester, scoring 15 goals and adding 26 assists for 41 points.

In 21 games at the NHL level this season, Griffith scored 2 goals and added 1 assist for 3 points.

Griffith had signed a one-year, two-way NHL contract as an unrestricted free agent with the Buffalo Sabres on July 1, 2017.

He will once again be an unrestricted free agent this off-season.
