The Wallaceburg Red Devils topped the London Blue Devils last Saturday in Wallaceburg’s final home game of the regular season. The Red Devils cruised to a 21-4 win. Tanner Cole led the charge with a 10-point game, scoring 3 goals and adding 7 assists. Veteran player Bronson Bea, who has been injured all season, scored his first goal of the year in limited action.The Red Devils (12-2) remain in first place in the Ontario Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse League’s Far West division, Wallaceburg will visit Elora on Saturday and Orangeville on Sunday.

The Wallaceburg Novice Griffins went 5-0 on the weekend at the Sarnia Herb Lea Tournament, winning the championship. Wallaceburg beat Oshawa by a score of 12-3 in the final game. They also topped Milton by a score of 8-1, Sarnia by a score of 10-2, Oshawa by a score of 8-6 and Hamilton by a score of 12-6.

The Wallaceburg Minor Baseball Association received a generous donation recently form The Moose Lodge in Wallaceburg. Virginia Whitmarsh, from the Moose, presented a cheque recently to Heather Dawson, of the Wallaceburg Minor Baseball Association executive. The total donation was for $300 and makes the Moose a ‘Silver Sponsor’ for the season.
