Red Devils hammer the Pacers, Windsor up next

The Wallaceburg Red Devils hammered the Point Edward Pacers on Tuesday night by score of 16-7.

Marshall Powless led the way for Wallaceburg with a 10-point night, scoring 3 goals and adding 7 assists.

Sidney Powless had a 5-point night, scoring twice and adding 3 assists.

Kyle Dawson scored 3 goals and 2 assists for a 5-point night as well.

Dawson is tops in the entire Ontario Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse League with 52 goals on the season in 17 games. His 85 overall points ranks him tied for sixth overall in league scoring.

Lucas Jacobs picked up the win for Wallaceburg in net, making 26 saves and allowing 5 goals in two periods of play.

Brayden Bell made 14 saves and allowed 2 goals in one period of play.

Wallaceburg remains in first place in the Far West Division with a 16-2 record.

The Red Devils will head to Windsor on Thursday to battle the 14-3 Clippers.

Windsor is the only team in the league to beat the Red Devils this season, topping them in Wallaceburg on April 22 and on May 20.

The Devils will wrap-up the regular season on Friday when they head to Six Nations to battle the Rebels.

Both the Windsor and Six Nations games start at 8 p.m.
