MPP happy to fulfill his promise about Otter Creek

Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton is thrilled to deliver upon his promise to halt the Otter Creek Wind Farm project, which had been planned for north of Wallaceburg.

“As MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, I have worked for several years with community leaders, elected officials, families, and my PC Caucus colleagues like MPPs Bob Bailey and Rick Nicholls to stand steadfast against the further development of industrial wind turbines and specifically to stop the Otter Creek Wind Farm,” McNaughton said in a statement.

“I’m excited to hear the announcement from Ontario Minister of Energy Greg Rickford that the government has agreed with the people of Wallaceburg and of Kent County and agreed to halt this unnecessary wind project before it gets off the ground”

McNaughton said this promise was made in Wallaceburg.

“This is a promise that our Premier Doug Ford made with me in Wallaceburg during the recent campaign, and it’s one that I’m most excited to be able to deliver on,” he said.

“We’re going to clean up the Wynne-Liberal hydro mess with an honest and straightforward plan that will save families in Kent County money and across Ontario money. The Otter Creek Wind project is done. Promise made, promise kept.”
