A familiar face will be back behind the bench next season for the Wallaceburg Red Devils.

The Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse club announced that Jamie Knight will be returning to the team for the 2019 season as their head coach.

“His wealth of knowledge, experience and passion for Wallaceburg Lacrosse will prove to be a tremendous asset to the team in 2019,” the club announced on social media.

Knight was recently honored with the OLA Presidents Award for having over 20 years’ experience with minor and junior lacrosse and he also runs Leave Your Mark Lacrosse camps throughout Southern Ontario.

“The Wallaceburg Red Devils are excited to welcome back Coach Knight for the 2019 season as head coach,” the club stated.

Knight shared the coaching duties last year with Justin Durston, Jordan Durston, Johnny Powless and Joel Shepley.

Wallaceburg finished in second place in the Far West Division in the regular season in 2018.

Wallaceburg was ousted from the second round of the playoffs by Elora, after beating Hamilton in the opening round.
