Marienne Blackbird, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the age of 76.
Marienne is the daughter of the late Simeon and Adeline (Sword) Blackbird. Predeceased by her son William John Piper. Loved sister of Keitha Hogan, Sadie Genyn, Eliza John, Verena Blackbird (Tot), Veronica Aquash (Tiny) and the late Frances Altiman, Betty Blackbird, Ida Kicknowsway, Simeon Blackbird Jr., William Asignack and Brenda Joyce. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Monday from 7-9 PM.
