ATV driver charged with impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening, police received a call for service for a motor vehicle collision.

An ATV struck a tree on Glasgow Line in Tupperville.

The male party operating the ATV was taken to hopsital with non-life threatening injuries.

Through investigation, police believed the man was driving while impaired and he was arrested.

A 57-year-old Tupperville man has been charged with Operation while impaired by alcohol and Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

His license has been suspended to 90 days and he was released pending a future court date of May 3, 2019.

Smashed door in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning around 7:30 a.m., police were dispatched to attend The Dutch Market on William St, Chatham, in response to a call of a mischief.

Unknown parties smashed a glass door, but entry was not gained.
