Four days of agriculture, entertainment and tradition ahead at Brigden Fair 2026 (Listen)

The Brigden Fair is set to return to the Brigden Fairgrounds this weekend, offering four days of agricultural showcases, family entertainment, midway rides and community celebrations that have become a cherished tradition in Lambton County.

Hosted by the Moore Agricultural Society, the annual fair draws visitors from across the region with a diverse lineup of attractions that celebrate both rural heritage and community spirit.

The World’s Finest Shows midway will open daily at 10 a.m., giving fairgoers access to rides and games throughout the weekend. Visitors can also take in helicopter rides with Zimmer Air, horse pulling competitions, tractor pulls, chuckwagon races and livestock events that highlight the fair’s agricultural roots.

Agriculture remains at the heart of the Brigden Fair, with livestock shows, auctions and Agriculture Awareness Day providing opportunities for residents to connect with the farming industry and learn more about the role agriculture continues to play in the local economy.

Exhibition halls will feature a wide range of entries, including quilts, creative crafts, fine arts, culinary creations, photography, fruits and vegetables, canning displays and junior department projects. Fairgoers will also have the chance to view giant pumpkins and other agricultural exhibits throughout the grounds.

Entertainment is scheduled throughout the weekend, with live music, magic and illusion performances, dancing, fiddling and a variety of special guests and performers. Family-friendly activities include the Masonic CHIP child identification program, colouring contests, balloon-making entertainment, bunny and guinea pig races and the annual baby show.

Additional attractions include the Great Canadian Lumberjacks, team sorting competitions, vintage tractor displays and pulls, hot wheel racing and live animal exhibits.

Food will once again be a major draw, with the fair kitchen and onsite vendors serving traditional favourites such as peameal sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, soup, donuts and homemade pie, along with vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Organizers are also encouraging visitors to take advantage of midway coupon specials available through World’s Finest Shows, offering savings on ride tickets throughout the weekend.

Attendees are reminded that pets are not permitted on the fairgrounds or inside buildings unless they are registered for exhibition or are working service animals.

The Brigden Fair continues to serve as one of the region’s signature agricultural events, bringing together families, farmers and community members for a weekend of education, entertainment and tradition.
