It’s Throwback Thursday once again!
Here is an old photograph of bren gun carriers parked along James St in 1940. The occasion was a Kent regiment display of equipment designed to attract young men to join the military ranks, eventually giving them and oppurtunity to drive one of the rigs. the background shows commercial locations such including Gilbuly’s Pool Room, Cowell’s Department Store, and Eaton’s Order Office.
