A Media event will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019. At the event, the donation of $10,000 by Enbridge Gas (formally known as Union Gas) to the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) will be officially announced. The donation has been used to restore a wetland on a local landowner’s property near the North Branch of the Sydenham River and plant over 1,300 trees on the property.
Steven Jelich, Director of Southwest Region Operations for Enbridge Gas, will present a cheque that will be received on behalf of the SCRCA by Chair Joe Faas. Jessica Van Zwol, Healthy Watershed Specialist, and Steve Shaw, Manager of Conservation Services, will give the group a tour of the property and speak about the project.
