Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: As previously reported, on Sunday night shortly before midnight, a cyclist believed to be travelling westbound, was struck by a transport truck also travelling in the same direction on Grand Avenue East.
The cyclist, James Paul Day, 38 years, of Sarah Crescent in Chatham sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation.
