The Municipality of Chatham-Kent will hold an opening ceremony celebrating the completion of Phase One of Greenfield Global Trail project on Thursday, August 8th at 9:30 a.m. Phase One was completed in October 2018.
The event will occur at 925 Grand Avenue West and recognize Greenfield Global’s part in initiating the project and providing subsequent construction funding along with the Great Trail and the Province of Ontario.
Phase One of the multi-use trail is 3.0 kilometers in length and was primarily designed to increase user safety.
When complete, the Greenfield Global Trail will create a 21.5 kilometer loop traversing west along Grande River Line, crossing the Prairie Siding Bridge, and heading east back to Chatham on Riverview Line.
