The last Saturday of the summer marked the final installment of the Wallaceburg Farmers’ Market.

The market, sponsored by the Wallaceburg Wellness Center, was held on Saturday, September 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot on James Street.

The day opened with sunny skies and temperatures that quickly warmed up to create summer-like weather, allowing residents and visitors alike to browse the booths in comfort.

The market featured a bounty of local fruits and vegetables, baked goods, maple syrup, honey, preserves, flowers, fresh meats, and handmade crafts.

“The Wallaceburg Farmers Market is one of our favorite events to attend,” MJ De Roeven, new owner of Tickled Pink in Dresden, told the Sydenham Current.

“We love seeing familiar faces at every market and getting the chance to meet new people. This event allows the community access to so many great local vendors with quality homegrown and handmade goods. We look forward to next year and thank everyone for their continued support.”

Here is a list of vendors that participated in Saturday’s event: Autumn Harvest Crops by Chris, Black Dog Garlic, County Market Garden, Glasstown Quits, Naturally Yours, Indian Tacos, Parks Blueberries, Sycamore Farm Market, Taqc’s Market Garden, The Bakers Affair, The Popcorn Barn, Tickled Pink, Two Women and a Stove, River Bell Market Garden, MMPP Adirondack Chairs, Williamson Market and Delrae Orchards.
