After 27 years of service as a professional firefighter, Wallaceburg’s Pat Martin signed off for the last time on Tuesday, October 29.
A lunch was held at the Station #3 fire hall in Wallaceburg to celebrate Martin’s last shift, before he entered into retirement.
Martin told the Sydenham Current he enjoyed his time on the Wallaceburg Fire Department and Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services.
Wallaceburg Councillor Aaron Hall presented Martin with a certificate, on behalf of Mayor Darrin Canniff and Chatham-Kent Council, to commemorate his career on Tuesday.
