5 to 10 cm of snow possible for Monday

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement in Chatham-Kent, as 5 to 10 cm of snow is possible on Monday.

“A developing low pressure system will track south of the Lower Great Lakes and will bring snow into portions of southern Ontario tonight into Monday,” forecasters say.

“5 to 10 cm of snow is possible by Monday evening. There is still considerable uncertainty with regards to the track of this system and the northern edge of significant snowfall.”

Travel may be impacted Monday due to the snow accumulation on the road, Environment Canada officials say.
