Joseph Williams

Joseph John Williams played his final song November 20th 2019.

He was born in Sarnia, Ontario to Roly and Charlene Williams and lovingly raised and nurtured by Larry and Charlene Charette. As a child he grew up with a large and caring family, Big Gram, many aunties, including his beloved auntie Sherry, uncles, and cousins.

He enjoyed playing hockey, trick riding bikes and making mischief with his oldest brother, and best friend, Cooper (Angela) Williams. They shared a love of music, and when they picked up their guitars, there was no need of words. Each note and riff spoke a language known only to them. Music is medicine. Joe was a passionate man, a gifted guitarist, he could be stubborn, and would debate a point. He loved to read the Bible and enjoyed a personal relationship with Christ. He was blessed to have loved and be loved by many, but his heart undeniably, belonged to his children; Dalton, Jade, Elijah, Joseph, Gavin, Amylee, Kevin, Ariane, Larry, Isaiah, Matthew, and Isaac, and his granddaughter, Mika. Each and every one, his beloved pride and joy. They are his legacy and a true testament of his life.

Joseph’s celebration of life will be held on his home reserve, of Walpole Island. Please join his parents, siblings Crystal and Tyler, and friends to send Joe on his next journey. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 1 PM. Interment at Highbanks Cemetery, Walpole Island.
