Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying either this man (pictured above) or brown truck (pictured below) in connection with a theft from Canadian Tire in Blenheim on November 11, 2019.

Man charged with domestic related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that this was not the first incident of domestic violence between the couple during their relationship.

The 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with three counts of assault, two counts of forcible confinement, assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Neighbour dispute leads to charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a neighbour dispute in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that the man threatened his neighbour while in possession of a pellet gun and baseball bat.

The 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol located a man who was wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions.

A 48-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released pending a future court date of December 17, 2019.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police located a woman on Lorne Avenue in Chatham who was wanted for unlawfully being in a dwelling house, drug possession and failing to attend court.

The 27-year-old Tilbury woman was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Collision in Chatham involving cyclist

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Just before 7 a.m. this morning, police responded to a collision involving a cyclist on Fifth Street near Thames Street.

The driver, a 55-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to yield the right of way.

The cyclist, a 29-year-old Chatham man was charged with having improper bicycle lighting.

Total damage was estimated at $500.

No one was injured.
