Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 27 at approximately 2 p.m. a 50-year-old Blenheim man struck a hydro pole while traveling east on Middle Line.
The man did not remain on scene and continued east on Middle Line.
A responding officer located the suspect and initiated a successful traffic stop.
The man was found to have consumed alcohol and also had a suspended driver’s license.
A breath test determined the man had consumed enough alcohol to warrant a three-day suspension.
The man was further charged with Driver Under Suspension and Fail to Remain under the Highway Traffic Act.
