An arrest was made after an alleged theft of gasoline in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege at 9 a.m. on January 17 police received a complaint of a theft of $75 of gas from a Wallaceburg gas station.
“Police arrived in the area and located the vehicle and male occupant,” police officials say.
“The 44 year-old man was arrested for theft under $5,000. While investigating, police also determined that he was wanted for various other offences.”
He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, booked into custody and transported to the courthouse for a bail hearing, police officials added.
