A ‘Maker Fair’ for children and families was held on Family Day at the Wallaceburg branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library.

The activities, which were put out for all families to enjoy time together, were fit for all ages to have some fun.

“We have different stations set up for today, so that families and children can come in together and spend quality time together,” Jessica D’Felio, a librarian at the Wallaceburg branch, told the Sydenham Current.

Approximately 30 families came to the library, strictly to take part in the Maker Fair.

On Family Day, the Wallaceburg branch saw approximately 300 people in the facility.

Activities at the fair focused on building and creating.

“There are different stations such as Tinker toys, Legos, magnetic blocks and Lincoln logs,” D’Felio added.

“There are crafts. We have other toys in the children’s room, as well as book displays getting ready for March break. We just have everything, so families can come in, and spend some quality time together.”

Also on display at the Library was advertisements for some activities being held over March Break.
