Pedestrian struck on Forhan Street in Wallaceburg

The Chatham-Kent Police Service have issued an urgent message, after a pedestrian was allegedly struck by a vehicle on Forhan Street in Wallaceburg.

“Chatham-Kent Police are currently investigating a single motor vehicle collision where a pedestrian was struck, on Forhan Street, in Wallaceburg,” police officials allege.

“The collision occurred between Stewart Line and Langstaff Line on Forhan Street between 7:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Police are still attempting to locate the pedestrian who was struck and are asking for the public’s assistance.”

Police officials added: “Police are looking for an Indigenous male with long hair, black coat, wearing a ball cap.”

This section of Forhan Street remains closed until further notice, police say.

“Police will release further details when available,” police officials said in a press release.

“If anyone has any information about the whereabouts of this male please contact CKPS at 519-352-1234 ext 9.”
