Essex OPP officials allege: On March 7, 2020 at approximately 2 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a two vehicle collision near the intersection of County Road 34 and County Road 21.
A pick-up truck and a van collided head on and the lone occupant of the van was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.
As a result of the collision a 75-year-old man from Wheatley has died.
Two passengers in the other vehicle have serious non-life threatening injuries.
No charges are anticipated.
