Several charges have been laid, which include robbery with violence, after an ATV was stolen back in December.
Lambton OPP officials allege on December 24, 2019 at 2:45 p.m. Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Baseline Road in St. Clair Township.
“While responding to the scene, Lambton OPP were advised a concerned citizen had attended the scene to check on the driver, at which time, the driver forcibly removed the citizen from his small all-terrain utility vehicle and fled the scene in the vehicle. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The vehicle was located abandoned several hours later.”
As a result of the investigation, a 34 year-old Walpole Island First Nation man was arrested on March 10, 2020 and charged with the following, pursuant to the Criminal Code:
– Robbery with Violence
– Theft of Motor Vehicle
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
– Fail to Comply
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia at a later date.
