Rollover crash in St. Clair Township

The investigation is on-going after a rollover crash in St. Clair Township last week.

Lambton OPP officials allege on March 5, 2020 at approximately 1 p.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), St. Clair Fire Department and Lambton County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single vehicle rollover on Mandaumin Road in St. Clair Township.

“Upon arrival, Lambton OPP officers observed a pickup truck on its roof and the occupants outside of the vehicle,” OPP officials allege.

“Both occupants were transported to the local hospital with minor injuries.”

Investigation revealed when the vehicle hit the shoulder, the driver over corrected, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch, roll onto its roof, striking a hydro pole, police say.

As the vehicle was rolling, the passenger was ejected from the vehicle.

Mandaumin Road between Bentpath Line and Burman Line were closed for approximately two hours for the hydro lines to be repaired.

Lambton OPP are continuing to investigate.

Updates will be provided if/when they become available.
