Sarnia Police Service officials allege: At approximately 11:58 p.m., on March 13, 2020, Sarnia Police were dispatched regarding a female in medical distress in the 100 block of North Palmerston Street.
Officers arrived on scene at approximately 12:01 a.m., on March 14, 2020, to find a 29-year-old female with life threatening injuries that was immediately transported to hospital by paramedics.
The 29-year-old female was later pronounced dead at the hospital from the injuries she had sustained.
The death is now deemed a homicide.
The 29-year-old has been identified as Sarah Marie Thwaites, of Sarnia.
Sarnia Police will remain on scene, for the next several days, as this investigation continues.
