A note regarding our Ready-to-Lay (RTL) orders moving forward.

We have been informed by the hatchery that the Ready To Lay (RTL) order for June 30th is officially OVERSOLD. The surge in Laying Hen sales was something no one could have predicted when the incubators were set back in January.
We are currently taking RTL orders for September 9th. However, keep in mind that these birds have already hatched. It is not an issue specific to one hatchery or even just one part of the province. This is industry wide. It takes 22 weeks from being an egg to laying an egg and that is not something that can be negotiated.
While we understand your frustration with not being able to place your order for the day you wanted, please consider that this is beyond the control of the industry.
Our Day-old chick orders will proceed somewhat as planned. Please make sure that you place your order at least 4 WEEKS ahead of the delivery day to ensure your best chance at having your order filled.
