Pearl Foster of Wallaceburg

Pearl Mae Foster, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the age of 91.

Pearl is the daughter of the late Cecil J. and Minnie (Barclay) Armstrong. She was the beloved wife of Samuel J. Foster for over 55 years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Laurie Foster, Brenda Foster, Fr. Randy Foster, Derek and Deanna Foster. Dear grandmother of Michael Parker, Jeremy Muxlow, Samantha Foster and Teneesha Foster and great grandmother of Brooklyn Palin and Jace Rabideau. Predeceased by her brother George Armstrong, and sister Margaret Jeanne Robinson. Always looking after Pearl were her feline companions Lou and Bud.

Pearl had worked for many years in the grocery business, first at Randy Jones’ Variety, Larry’s Variety, Dominion Store and Zehrs in the deli department. Life long member of the Wallaceburg Pull-Kats camping club and member of the Catholic Women’s League. She was an avid baseball and curling fan.

A proper Funeral Mass of the Resurrection and burial in Riverview Cemetery will be announced at a later date.

The HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent de Paul or the Chatham-Kent Hospice may be left at the funeral home 519.627.3231.
