Police are still investigating after two suspicious fire in Wallaceburg last week.
“On Wednesday May 27 just before 8 a.m. emergency crews responded to the report of a port-a-john on fire in Steinhoff Park near Mary Street in Wallaceburg,” Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers officials said in a media release.
“Damage was estimated at $1,000. A few minutes later, emergency crews were called to Thomas Avenue, near an apartment building, where discarded furniture next to a garbage dumpster had been set on fire. This is approximately two blocks north of the location of the first arson.”
The fire was quickly extinguished, however a vehicle next to the dumpster sustained heat damage, Crime Stoppers officials say.
Total damage was estimated at $3,000.
